We went to Paris for a week and I wish we would have went for two weeks, but it was not in the budget! You will have a good time no matter how long you are on your honeymoon for. 5 nights and 6 days should be decent to see the things you want to see and do, just prioritize

@MrsN14:  I think it’s fine for an all-inclusive.

If you’re not set on the location, Punta Cana might be cheaper.

@MrsN14:  I prefer a full week at the minimum. Our honeymoon will be 2 full weeks – we need the time!!

However, I wouldn’t go into debt to support my wishes. If 5 days is what you can do right now, there will be the rest of your lives for more trips ๐Ÿ™‚

I would want to go for longer. It takes me a couple of days to get settled when on vacation… and I hate flying. The minimum I’d do in Mexico is 7 days… we usually do 10.

5 amazing nights in budget and with no guilt sounds perfect to me.

@MrsN14:  I think five nights is plenty. Just curious – which resort are you looking at?  A rooftop pool sounds amazing!

5 nights isn’t bad. you may not have time to do every single thing you want to do, so pick the most important things and make sure to do those. our honeymoon was 5 nights (we went to hawaii). we arrived mid-morning on a sunday and left late afternoon on friday. i would have preferred at least a week, but we found a good deal for 5 nights and were able to accomplish a lot ๐Ÿ™‚

We went with 5 nights and 6 days because it fit our budget and we had spending money and plenty of time to play. Could we have used the extra days? Sure.. but like a PP said.. 5 guilt free days of not over shooting our budget was perfect. And we were happy to have them because our original plan was a mini-moon (2 days). So, in full disclosure, I may be biased lol.

That’s exactly what we did, and it was perfect! We went from California to Puerto Vallarta. We had a good, long time that wasn’t TOO long. It was lovely, but also nice to head back home and settle in.

I think 5 nights sounds great! Ours was longer, but we budgeted for the wedding and the honeymoon to cost roughly the same!

@MrsN14: 5 nights is plenty! Especially Riviera Maya. If you’re anything like us, I’d assume you’ll be more into each other and less into random bus tours and whatnot. A snorkle and buffet by day, disco and sexytime by night vacation for 5 nights sounds just right to me ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re doing four nights because that’s all my husband’s schedule will allow ๐Ÿ™ We’ve been married for almost three months but plan on doing it in Feb 2014. I think you’ll be fine with five nights.
