I planned my first wedding in 4.5 months…and it was elaborate with an Out of Town bridal party.  I spent every weekend doing something….had a spreadsheet of what needed to be done and I would work the entire weekend until it was completed.  I used my lunch hour at work to call vendors (emailing wasn’t a big thing back then) and set up appts. for after work.  All this time, my grandma was slowly dying and my dad had major major face/neck surgery a month before the wedding…..apparently I’m good at focusing on things when under stress.

7 months is plenty of time.  I had a beautiful wedding on just 4.5 months.  70 people, Sunday brunch.  It was perfect!

I don’t think it would be too much.  Just make sure you can get a venue before you tell people the date, because May gets busy (especially if you live in a college area – with graduations, May gets super hectic for people/restaurants/hotels!)

I’m getting married at the end of April 2013 and I basically just now started to plan (although I did buy my dress a couple of months ago). It’s definitely doable.

You probably do want to get a jump on booking your venue as soon as you can, since a lot of places tend to fill up well in advance.

I planned in 4 months a wedding with 250+ guests, it is most certainly do-able, you must get your organized cap on.

It really depends on your area. Are there venues and vendors still available? Why don’t you call around to a few places to check?
