I personally can’t stand when girls or women are referred to as princesses. So yes, I think 9 is too old.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but it is just mine – If your daughter isn’t part of a royal family (where she is a princess) she is too ‘not a princess’ to be called one at any age. I guess I’m pretty not down with the princess stuff in general.

She sounds like an amazing kid though. Ring bearer’s are usually boys but they don’t have to be (there’s nothing gender specific in the title), ‘Bling bearer’ is a pretty cute twist. I think your idea of getting her something really special and different to wear is lovely, and will make her feel really important (as long as she likes it).

Could she be called a junior bridesmaid instead?

I don’t think nine is too old to be called princess, and I think if it’s all in fun then there’s nothing wrong with it. I’ll be honest, though, I think ‘Bling Bearer’ is really clever and cute. 🙂

I agree with the most in this thread, ‘Bling Bearer’ is a lot better and a nice ‘twist’ on Ring Bearer. I would use that but she can still have a pretty dress.

It’s up to you and your daughter really 🙂 you know her best, do you normally call her princess? My dad called me princess my whole life, and still does, it got annoying when I was a teenager but I don’t see it as different from any other pet name. Bling bearer is cute though.
