I think it’s perfect bee. I have a 6x4mm sapphire in a halo setting (ring size 5) and I think it looks somewhat dainty (which I love) but very proportional on my finger. So 7×5 in a halo sounds perfect! And your stone is beautiful!

Mine is 8x6mm (1.58 ct), and my finger is a 7.5 and very long. My ring is nearly identical to the halo you posted, and the size is perfect. Your stone will look fantastic!

My ring size is 5.5 and my sapphire is about 7.5 x 8.5 with a halo. I love it but at times I do secretly wish it was a tad bigger! But maybe everyone feels that way. Your stone is lovely!!

I think it’s the perfect size! Mine is 5×6 with a bezel instead of a halo, on a 5.25 finger. I was looking for a color I loved rather than a certain size, and I still love it years later. I don’t plan to “upgrade”

skatergirl :  People don’t care that badly.

Your ring is new and exciting for like a hot minute and people will ask about it when you first get engaged because it’s new and what you do. Generally, the only people who care what other people’s rings look like are people who are in the process of getting married themselves and they are hyperaware of rings because it’s pertinent to their own life or when you just get engaged.

And that’s it.  People will no longer care.  I couldn’t tell you what the rings look like for any of my coworkers or friends I have made who got engaged or married prior to meeting them.

So whatever you do, do it because YOU like it – that’s the only thing that matters – not because of what people might say now and then not give a damn about 6 months from now.

skatergirl :  1.5mm. My diamonds looked small in the CADs as well.  I was told that it was because the prongs show up 1) oversized and 2) pointed up rather than closed over the stone.
