I have been charting. We have also been ttc for a while now. I got a basal temp. However it normally says im in the low 96. to high 96. I think the highest I ever got up to was medium 97. … i am having all the signs of ovulation etc and it is supposed to be the time i am ovulating. Does this sound right or am I doing something wrong?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m confused by what you’re asking? Can you rephrase it? Are you wondering if your temperatures are normal for an ovulation temperature? In general, temperatures vary from woman to woman, so you need to chart several cycles to know what’s “normal” for you. Your temperature should be in a low range for your period, before ovulation, and during ovulation. The day after ovulation, it should rise, and then stay high until your period. As far as “normal” highs and lows, all women are different. I have “lower” temps as well–before ovulation and the day of, my temperatures range from about 96.6 to 97.3, and after ovulation, the range is 97.5 to 97.8, sometimes going up to 98.
Are you worried that you have low temps? It’s true that lower temps can be a sign of low progesterone or of a thyroid condition, but that’s something I’d talk to your doctor about. I’m not sure how low they need to be to be considered a sign of low progesterone, and if you did have low progesterone, you’d probably have other symptoms.
