I don’t have a planner but I’m thinking of asking my sister in law to be my day of coordinator just so I don’t have to worry about what’s supposed to happen when.

My venue’s wedding package provides a DOC, and honestly I’m SO grateful to have this! Even if she ends up not doing much in the end, she serves as MAJOR piece of mind for me the day of.

I would say start your own business! Not all venues provide an on-site coordinator, expecially the less expensive ones.  I would say if you are thinking of venturing on your own call around the area you’d provide your service for and see if the venues provide their own coordinator.  If a lot do, it would be a little harder of a market to break into.
