I travel fairly often and never stay at ritzy hotels.. (I hostel it up  everywhere)… but the only time I would want to splurge would be on my honeymoon.. because.. It will be where we spend most of our time lol

Is that an additional $250 a day or total? From what it looks like the only differences are:

  • breakfast in room once a week
  • merengue and Spanish lessons
  • 20-min romantic couple massage
  • 20-min massage per person
  • a romantic dinner
  • and a dinner at La Cava or El Pescador

Depending on how long you’re staying, it might be worth it (since it’s only once per week, it can only be a one time thing). I haven’t stayed at Punta Cana, but stayed at an all-inclusive for our honeymoon and the alcohol was included, so the free bottle isn’t that big of a deal. Breakfast in bed once could be nice if you can choose what you want, but the best selection was always at the actual breakfast place.

The three 20-min massages could be really nice if you’re into that and I really liked our romantic dinner, although you should check to see if it’s already included in your package (sometimes they just reserve in advance for you, since there’s a waitlist).

$250 for a couple of massages and 2 private dinners a week could be worth it. But what’s the VIP bracelet that’s included in the Platinum Suite that’s not included in the Honeymoon Suite? That could be the deciding factor.

Yes, do it! Those little luxury extras made all the difference when we added the honeymooners package to our suite!

If I am reading this correctly, the Honeymoon suite has the Jacuzzi. The other does not. JACUZZI FTW.

If it’s $250 total (not per day), I’d splurge. Your honeymoon is a big deal, and you deserve to go a little above and beyond the norm. ๐Ÿ™‚

If it’s $250 total, YES!
