Man I love how delicate and romantic a smaller stone looks. You do need the right hands I find…long fingers.

Anyway, my e-ring is a large setting at 0.75 ct tw, so with tons of diamonds 0.33 and under. I do like to wear another ring I own with a rose gold band from time to time. It’s not a typical e-ring but that’s what I love about it! hehe

0.20 ct tw in white gold with 10K rose gold diamond band

I also own a white sapphire ring to wear for travelling, etc. It’s really light and low profile. Kind of art deco, which I love. The 0.15 ct tw band is made of diamonds. It’s small and dainty:

I’ll add pics of my small ring with stacked thin wedding bands. It makes the set more substantial when I feel like it and it’s just a fun look πŸ˜‰

I had no idea that 0.3-0.5 carat could ever be considered small until I saw some of the posts on here. Where I am, 0.3-0.4 is about average, 0.5 and up is big, and 0.75 and over is “HOLY ****, are you trying to be Jordan, or something?”

i actually miss my .5ct solitaire…i got into a “bigger is better”thing and eended up trading up twice. Sometimes I really want my dainty .5 ct back. I am thinking of getting a .5 ct moissy solitaire, both becasue I want the size AND I amdying for a moissy.

My brothers fiance has a 0.33 round diamond (VS1 G) and it’s beautiful! It sparkles like crazy and doesn’t look small at all.

I know it’s already been said, but it really is all about the sentiment behind the ring that’s important. ALL engagement rings are beautiful because of what they mean. Your ring will be as stunning as every other engagement ring out there. Enjoy πŸ™‚

@wrkbrk:  Yes…I traded up for a lovely 1 ct solitaire (cash plus the .5 ct plus some other randm pieces). I SHOULd have been happy with it, but no…..I wanted bigger. round a 1.8 that was a very warm colo and had some issues. Meh…..I like the size but miss the quality of my first stone. sometimes i am an idiot and always want what i can thave, until I find a way to get it and then i dont want it any more. I know it is a problem, and it doesnt happen with most things. for some reeason, it did with the help of some e-ring envy – lol. here is the final upgrade, which really, is not an upgrade except in size.

Here is the secon ring…the 1 ct. The 6 prong was the diamond…the 4 prong was/is a stand in from ebay.

let me add that i also was pretty mean to someone on here while i was reflecting on my upgrading. i still feel bad about it πŸ™   No excuse but it was out of my own frustrations.

@wrkbrk:  well, thanks! none were expensive stones and all have or had flaws, but since i dont see very well, it didnt matter to me – lol!!  i am at a point where i can look at everyone’s rings and love them without deciding that i need to have it!!!

My ring….. I believe is a .2-.3 center stone? I’m not 100% sure
