I’m doing without a videotographer. I’ve seen some amazing videotographers that put together great heart-tugging vids, but I just don’t know how often I would actually watch it. I’ve talked to some friends who have hired a videotographer in the past and they rarely watch the video, if at all. Plus, i tend to get fidgety and would hate to see that on camera…I’m definitely more into photography!

I wasn’t planning on having one but have sprung for it at the last minute. I think if you can afford it you should have it and if you can’t then don’t worry.

where are you getting married? you can probably go for an amateur if you’re on the fence. if you’re on the fence–don’t do with out. do DIY or someone brand new.

If you can make room in the budget for it I would def do it. My hubby was extremely against it (he didnt find out we’d ignored him until the day of the wedding) and even he is happy we did it. I was watching last night and there’s this one moment during the ceremony where he just randomly says “you’re beautiful” under his breath. I don’t even remember that happening. Pictures do not capture moments like that.

I’ve seen some stunning wedding videos on the blogs and I’m a highly visual person.  However, I decided to focus on my photographer instead of spreading the budget over to a videographer.

Nice to have, but not a necessity.

Depends on what you think is important. Some brides like to be able to hear their vows after the day is over. I know a couple that watches their ceremony every year on their anniversary while sharing a glass of wine.
Some brides don’t even care. So it really depends on what you want!
