many people I know threw a wedding in under a month, it takes as long as you want but if your organized you could technically book everything in 1 day.

It depends if you want a specific date and how popular that date is. We picked a popular date so we booked ASAP. We got in engaged in February of this year and we are planning to get married on 10/10/2020. I knew our date would be popular so I already booked our venue the month after we got engaged. Photographers were hard to come by too I emailed 5 and only 1 was available for that day. It’s always better to book earlier than later especially when it comes to weddings.

Mlim :  It depends on the area.  We booked our venue in the first week of October for a September 19th wedding.

I’d say it depends on where you live. Husband and i did a fall wedding in Madssachusetts and we booked 15 months out. Almost every vendor we spoke to(venue, cake, flower, photographer, DJ) said fall is the new summer in New England and booking a fall wedding is almost impossible without almost a year and a half notice.

I’d check What peak weddings times are for where you live!

We booked ours 10 months out, but that was for a winter wedding. If you’re happy with off-season, you’ll probably have less trouble with the booking.

I’m sure it depends on the area. We are getting married in London and at our chosen venue (which to be fair is a very iconic building) we couldn’t get anything within about 15 months. But I know people who have booked with less than a year to go.

I started planning in March for a wedding next month. Most places were booked but I found a place!
