Would wearing heels to the ceremony and then changing into flats be an option? Maybe you could get away with a less comfortable shoe for a shorter time frame?

So I just googled “Heels for wide feet” for you and a Vogue forum suggested BonBons, Peter Sheppard and Duo (which is apparently a UK site but they ship to Australia). I also found a website called “At Last Shoes” which is an Aussie store that specialises in shoes for ladies with big feet but if you contact her she might be able to suggest some shoes for wide feet. Keep searching! You’ll find some eventually!

I struggled to find heels that didn’t have a massive heel (my fella is only a bit taller than me and when I wear big heels it freaks us both out LOL) – especially in stores so I ended up buying some online. They haven’t arrived yet but I made sure they had a money back policy before I committed to buying some online. Chin up – you’ll find them and they’ll be fab!

do australian sizes have varied widths? I know with American sizes B is standard width and it goes up from there, I think EE is the largest (it’s like bras – why not just say F? bizarre….)

ETA: Zappos offers free shipping on returns within the States… I don’t know about internationally, but don’t totally count out online purchasing – just make sure you’re doing it somewhere you can return them if they don’t work out!

Perhaps if you see some you really like you can check their returns policy. The place I got my shoes from had a money back returns policy and an exchange policy so I felt pretty comfortable buying online cos I knew that if they didn’t fit I can send em back and get my $185 back!
