I had airbrush done for a wedding I was in last year, it was well worth it. Makeup lasted all day, and my skin looked flawless. $180 is steep though, our makeupartist charged $70 per girl. I would shop around.

Many makeup artists use spray can airbrush makeup. If she is the only artist, maybe you can buy the can yourself and have her use it. The results aren’t exactly the same, but this is what I use for nights out. It lasts and has a nice natural finish but full coverage. I use dior airflash.

@Tropicalbride: You can buy it at Sephora, or any other high end department store. I’m in Canada, but on my last shopping trip I did see a Dior counter in Macy’s. It’s like $60 Canadian, so it’s probably $40-$50 US

I would suggest airbrushing at that price ONLY if you fit any of these criteria:

  • temperature will be high
  • humidity will be high
  • your skin is towards the oily side
  • you tend to sweat easily
  • you tend to sweat on your face
  • your day will be over 8 hours long

Regular foundation should last you fine, when applied by a pro, for most normal use.

I had a trial with airbrush and I didn’t like it. It felt really rubbery on my skin and didn’t last as well as my usual Chanel.

I am getting married in Negril and was quoted $200 for airbrush makeup and $250 for make-up and hair.

For me, it was worth it as i know i won’t be able to do my make-up as good as the make-up artist.  I went for it, and was also asked to western union the deposit but instead i sent it over using pay pal.

Are we talking about the same person?  Is this in Jamaica?

I know we all want to look absolutely flawless on our wedding days but for that price…nuh uh. Your Fiance will think you look flawless with or without make up! Spend that money on a dinner out, not one time make up use!!
