(Closed) Is an open back dress inappropriate for a party?

@Rockcandy:  What kind of party is it?  Are your in laws (to-be) typically very conservative?

 

I don’t think the open back by itself makes it inappropriate but it also looks really short.  (You can say all you want about ‘oh the model is just tall’ but I don’t buy it… dresses are SHORT these days!)

 

I think if you keep the accessories conservative and are comfortable in it you should be fine.

@Rockcandy:  I don’t think it is too sexy as long as it does not gape and display the side of your breasts for all to see.Gaping can take a dress from chic to cheap in a moment.

Some double sided tape would ensure your dignity is maintained.

@Rockcandy:  I love open back. So chic. No I don’t think it’s too sexy bc the front is high necked with shoulder embellishments. And it’s all one color/not a busy pattern that takes your eye all over the place. Do you have conservative inlaws? If yes maybe save it for a night out with your fine fiance or your girl friends but otherwise super cute!
