we are doing the wine box ceremony πŸ™‚ im working on the write up for the ceremony now, but i’ve cut out the part about opening it during “tough times” because i dont like it, and i dont want negativity in our ceremony. i get the point behind it, but that part bothers me. we will be opening it on our 5th year anniversary.

We are doing a Love Box as well. We love the concept of it and the uniqueness.

My Future Mother-In-Law is ordering one we picked off of etsy. I think it was $55..she’s giving it to us as a gift πŸ™‚

We aren’t very crafty, so we agreed it would be better to leave it up to the professionals haha. If you want to see what’s on etsy, search “wedding wine box” and you’ll get a bunch of results!

Once we’ve finished the ceremony, I’ll post it on WB so others can see what we’ve done. I basically “borrowed” pieces from about 4 different posters!

I think this is such a great idea, I am definitely going to consider doing it. I have been trying to come up with something unique and romantic to do in our ceremony, this seems perfect. Thanks!!

We’re doing this, but no wine. Fiance doesn’t drink and grape juice doesn’t keep for 5 years! So I just got a small box that is unfinished from hobby lobby and I think I’m going to decorate it. I know I’m going to line it with satin and stain the wood, but I’m not sure how to finish it. I might decoupage a pic of us on the top, or do wood-burning with our wedding date and names or something.

We won’t be doing this during the actual ceremony. We’ll be doing it a few weeks prior to our actual wedding. I think it’s much more intimate just doing it with the two of us and we don’t have to worry about being clumsy and dropping any wine bottles πŸ˜‰
