@cmbr:  How frustrating about the plows!  That definitely makes a difference.

No.. the snow has just recently melted here, although last week is was pretty bad. Plows aren’t normally on the streets when fi leaves for work in the morning we we’ve had to shovel him out a few times.

It’s randomly almost 70 degrees here today.  Hello climate destabilization!  It seriously freaks me out.

@CoCoCourtney:  where do you live? I walked my dog this morning and was blown away by the amount of ice!  Lots of broken tree branches on the road and sidewalks, which I always find so sad.

@cmbr:  we’re not snowed in, but there is an inch thick layer of ice on the road. I was going to walk to do some shopping, but I think it’s best to only use underground transportation today. A lot of people are without power in my city due to the ice storm, which sucks. Sorry you’re snowed in! Hopefully you won’t lose power or anything.

@letigre:  Im in Maine, you?  I just took a picture of a bush in our yard, the branches look exactly like the photo you just posted! I basically skated my way over to take the picture.

We’re about to be I think.  Blading is supposed to happen today, so we’ll be snowed in until we remove the windrow.  That’s actually a really good reminder, I’m hoping to get to the hospital early tomorrow.

@letigre:  I’m just north of the GTA, and we have a ton of ice here as well. No power issues yet though, fingers crossed!

I can’t imagine 6-8 inches of snow keeping us in! We’d have to hibernate for half the year 😉

That sucks! For all of you teasing the OP for staying in, remember she has a small car and they’re driving a long distance, not down the street to get milk. We have definitely waited around in the past to give crews the chance to clear and salt roadways for our own safety.

I hope you were able to get on the road safely, OP!
