It seems like everyone’s doing the colored-shoe thing these days! At first I thought I’d have colored shoes, but now I find myself inexplicably drawn to white/ivory satin. I guess I’m more traditional than I thought 🙂 Or maybe there are just too many gorgeous colored shoes to choose from.
Anybody else still debating whether to get white/ivory or colored shoes?

My dress is so simple (unembellished ivory sheath) that I think colored shoes would overwhelm it. I love the funky colored shoes (and I think it’s fun that they can hid under a long dress during a traditional ceremony, then surprise everyone at the reception), but I guess I’m going with ivory or maybe gold.

I did consider this. And D.Marie is! Her shoes are here

I got ivory ones, and loved them. Here is a picture:
They were under $40 even including shipping from an eBay seller. And they were comfortable for both ceremony and reception.

Definitely going with ivory shoes. I don’t normally wear shoes that dramatically contrast with my clothing, so why do that on my wedding day? Ivory is one of our colors, it’s the color of my dress, so this was never even a decision I considered fretting over.

Me! I am getting the Dessy flats… too tired to find a link, haha, but they are pretty and simple. I’m opposite of Miss Banana – my dress is formal and embellished and I am wearing a hair flower and veil, and so I think colored shoes would just be a distraction.

mine are ivory… I LOVEEEEE them! I debated about going red or a differant color but I thought id be a little more traditional.
They are wittner shoes.

I’m definitely leaning towards ivory or some other neutral color. I REALLY want to be able to use my wedding day shoes again and our wedding colors (spring green & tangerine) are not colors I normally wear everyday, I figured ivory might be more useful. But I’m having a hard time finding ivory wedges (wedding on grass, so I’d like heels that won’t sink). This will not deter me from my ivory dream shoes!
You are not alone.

I loved the way my ivory ones looked with my dress– and I had a credit that I had to spend at my bridal salon, so I never really looked at any other options. If you’re drawn to white/ivory shoes, I say go with them!

I’m planning on having ivory shoes – my dress is almost champagne colored and I just dont think colored shoes would go with it. Ive thought about doing blue shoes for my “something blue” but I think I’ll just end up doing blue underwear. I feel like the colored shoe thing is very much a trend right now, but white and ivory shoes will always be classic

Im planning on having a pair of white Ralph Lauren Sandals.

I’m planning to order these, they’re even cuter in person.
The heel is not super high (2 1/4 inches) which is something I was looking for.
I think white shoes are always a classic option.

I was going to do apple green shoes, but I had the hardest time finding some that I liked, so I’m going with these:

my shoes are going to be ivory, at least for the reception. i can’t find any other flats i like yet. i’ve got this whole teardrop/triangle shaped theme with my dress and earrings, so i think these fit pretty well.

@prettyflowers I got the same shoes in ivory! I found them at DSW for 35 dollars! I think on Nina’s site they are 75, but shop around… I got such a great deal!
Yes, I think colored shoes are fun, but I just felt like a bride in my ivory simple shoes 🙂
If you have ivory/white, are you going to spice them up with any flower/beading/feather sort of thing? As of now, I am not planning on it but I stumble across such beautiful things on Etsy that I am tempted!
