we’re planning to have bowls of floating candles, with colorful pebbles in the bottom. I think going this route will save us money versus going with flower centerpieces.

We want to do vases with limes and lemons and candles around them with minimal flowers.

i am on a very tight budget, so most of my decor is DIY stuff, i found this idea

but i have a lot of tables to fill so that would be a lot of frames…so i am doing a combo of these two

@kb112022:  Where did you find those photo frames?  I love them!  I want to have them!

I was thinking about doing a single floating flower (i.e. gerbera daisy) surrounded by 2-4 votives.

I’m not using flowers for centerpieces. I bought a wrought iron pumpkin at Michaels, using leaves and a candle… I’ll try to post a pic of the mock up:

On half the the tables I did votives scattered around with a floating candle bowl in the middle with 4-5 candles in it.  For the amibenance, I thought it looked great.

I don’t have any pictures but we are doing cakes for centerpieces.

My venue will provide round glass mirrors and 4-5 votives per table at no additional cost. I bought candle stick holders and plates from the dollar store and glued them together to make a cake plate. My baker is a local lady who manages a DQ but owns a small cake buiness on the side. She only charges 2.50 a person and no extra cost for doing multiple cakes.

I’m planning on getting some really cool wide mouth vases, hurricanes or bowls and filling them with different types of candy for each table as our centerpieces (the candies will double as favors)  I’ll put a cute note to encourage people to mingle with other guests and visit their tables and take some candy as well.  I hope it works and doesn’t look too cheesy…who knows I might change my mind!  But either way, I’m definitely not doing flowers, it’s beautiful but not in my budget!

We’re doing an even smaller version of this.  A 6″ bubble vase with 2 hydrangea blooms in them and votives around.  Our tables only seat 4 too, so small is really best.

@eurekaanchovies  i just googled diy photo cube…they are made out of old cd cases!!

i am just going to do vellum paper cubes instead of the photographs, in a few different sizes with battery operated candles inside…
