So I am a HUGE DIYER… I have done the entire wedding myself and have had an ABSOLUTE blast doing it! Now with my projects almost finish, save a couple more conterpieces and the seating chart, I am beginning to get a little sad that it is coming to an end. You build and build for this day and then it’s here and gone so quickly…. I wish it could be wedding month instead of DAY!!! LOL Anyone else feel sad at all?

Hey date twin! I’m not crafty at all, so for me- well I can’t wait for the planning, cutting, pasting, gluing, etc to be OVER! If I have to cut ONE MORE RIBBON…. argh! I’m so over it. I didn’t even DIY that much haha.
Is there anything coming up with your friends or family that you could help with? Any parties that you could plan or use your craftiness on? Definitely try to line something up for the near-ish future so you don’t get the post-wedding blues. Maybe even tackle a whole new project- like volunteer at a dog shelter or sign up for a 5k race!

My wedding was a week ago and I thought I’d be more sad after it was over. It keeps hitting me, like I’m married now, no more wedding to plan. Of course, there’s still follow up and proper closure on a few things (thank you cards soon, making photo books, thanks brunch for our bridal party, etc.)
But when my sweetie and I got home the night of the wedding, at 1:15 am, I broke down a bit laughing and crying at the same time because I couldn’t believe it was over! The 4 hours had flown by, and that was it. 8 months of my life. We were too exhausting and feeling bad from all the excitement and wine and not having a proper dinner that we didn’t even “consumate” the marriage until the next night- Lol!
I hope that people LOVE your DIY decor, and remember to make sure your venue and clean up helpers know what you want to keep so no one trashes anything just because it’s made of paper or something. Good luck! Breathe!

Hi date twin.
I really know the feeling. I actually just started a new DIY project, haha. I just can’t stop myself.
I can’t wait for our wedding day to get here, but still I don’t want it to be over.

Yep. I hear you. I’m like you, have put a lot of time and effort into planing and making a lot for my event. Unlike you I still have a lot to do and should get off my butt and go do it!
I already have a list of ‘to-does’ after the wedding including re-doing our bedroom, office/craftroom/so-to-be guest bedroom and kitchen. I do look forward to being able to spend time on those tasks.
