about the cost of having a baby? I know you never really feel financially ready for a baby, but I’m starting to wonder how we’re going to do it. Between child care, Dr bills, adding baby to insurance, and all the extra stuff baby will need, I’m starting to get scared! Darling Husband doesn’t really worry about this kind of stuff. He’s more of a “it’ll all work out” mindset, but I’m terrified. I like to have a plan, and not really knowing what to expect is freaking me out!!! I’m not trying to make the baby sound like a burden at all. We are really excited I’m pregnant, and can’t wait to meet our little one. The numbers are just a little intimidating. Please tell me I’m not the only one!

Have you planned out a budget yet? I think it can be really helpful to see exactly what you need to spend and it’ll also give you an opportunity to see what areas you can cut back in. Anyway, I know it always makes me feel better to have a solid in plan in place! In the end, though, babies are really as expensive as you make them to be. There’s always cheaper options, if you’re willing to take them.

@sunny-day73: LOL Dh and I have been planning on having our family since we started dating and I TOTALLY know where you’re coming from! People have babies in worse situations than ours all the time, and my parents even did, you know? But that totally doesn’t keep me from freaking the FFFF out all the time about the cost of everything 🙂 Have we figured out a budget? Yeah. Have we talked about $$? Yeah. Does that keep me from freaking out and worrying? Nope. I think it’s normal, and the people who don’t worry AT ALL, they’re either b.s.ing you or loaded and wouldn’t know what to do without their $3000 designer jeans 😉
