So far, I only bought a maternity dress at the local thrift store.  it was super nice and such a steal I could not resist.  If for some reason we can’t get pregnant, I will donate it back or pass it on.

No, but I totally browse baby-related boards on Pinterest all the time!

Can’t say I did that before I got pregnant, but I started doing that right when I found that I was.

Nope never did before munchkin was around. I have a gf who did this she bought tons and tons of baby stuff before her then DH and here TCC. Well now they are divorced and she had a ton of baby stuff and no baby or father in site….

So definately I wouldn’t do purchase stuff before being pregnant

Well, we haven’t bought clothes or anything like that, but I have picked up pictures from Home Goods for our nursery. We actually started buying pictures of dogs that look like ours because we thought they were cool, but never had a place to hang them. I’ve decided on a doggie themed nursery (or at least that’s the plan right now), so I am always on the lookout for dog things.  That being said, we are now pregnant with our first and the only thing I bought so far was a set of onsies to announce the pregnancy to DH’s family, oh and a shirt for the dog that said he’s going to be a big brother.

I’m almost 13 weeks now and I have been looking around the baby section every time I’m in a store. I told DH that the only thing I’ll buy before we know the sex is something dog related (specifically labrador).. and maybe something with penguins.

I’ve bought a book of Sleeping Beauty that is now not really available anymore but it’s absolutely gorgeous. Sleeping Beauty was my favorite fairy tale growing up though.

I have bought quite a few books, ones that were mine and DH’s favourites when we were kids or classic books we see on special.  I teach 5 and 6 year olds so if we were taking awhile TTC or it was hard I could just use them as classroom books.

I purchased a onsie last week to hopefully give to DH one day when I get a BFP.

We also brought a Jigsaw lamp on Honeymoon that I want to use in a future nursery.  I wanted to get something for our future child and again if it doesn’t happen it can be reused, it would look great in any room of the house 🙂

    Sometimes I’ve wanted to.

But I know realistically, I won’t.  I know way too many people who have had difficulties TTC and I don’t want any baby stuff around to be a slap in the face if we have challenges.

I thought I was pregnant last month (evil blue dye evap line) and I went out and bought a cute little set to give DH to tell him we were pregnant.  It looks mostly like this, except instead of saying Mommy Loves Me, It says I love My Family – http://www.carters.com/carters/4-Piece-Little-Layette-Set/V_121A793,default,pd.html?dwvar_V__121A793_color=Color&navid=carters-xsellPDPYMAL.  Plus I got the matching receiving blanket, lol.  For now they just sit in a drawer, so if I ultimately can’t get pregnant they’re aren’t exactly up in my face every day.

Just one thing! I wanted our future child’s nursery to be Disney themed (I am seriously obsessed), and on our honeymoon, which was at Disney World, we came across the cutest retro-style pillow themed around the different lands and rides. It was so cute and colorful and perfect…and also limited edition. So I bought it! Haha.

I’m superstitious… I won’t do it! I have looked at things, but not very often and not for long.

Just wanted to chime in and say yes, I am guilty as charged and have bought WAY more than any one else has mentioned on here so far. Kind of makes me re think myself. I actually have 4, yes 4 totes of baby clothes/blankets/halloween costumes. 99% of which were bought when I worked in college at The Children’s Place. When people return stuff that is last season they re sell it for $.99 and at that time we had a 30% discount so I got a TON of cute stuff for just $.70. I have also bought some crib bedding from a rummage sale, care bear themed as I collect them, some diapers, wipes, etc. I know it would be devastating if we could not conceive or had problems but I also could not turn down the excellent deal. All of the stuff I bought was brand new with the tags so I could get rid of some of it for gifts or just to sell and make some extra money which I have started doing for the stuff I am not as attached to. I guess this all just depends on the person and how they will feel if they do have problems. I have all the stuff stored in our spare room closet and has been there for 4 years, now that we are married I am soooo having baby fever but we would like to wait until after our late honeymoon in October to start ttc.
