I am also having a Maid and Matron of Honor.  My Maid of Honor will be first, then Matron, and followed my 2 bridesmaid.  I was having a hard time deciding as well.  At first I just did my best friend as the maid of honor, but then decided after thinking about it for a while I wanted my other friend to be my matron of honor as well.

I’m having both and no bridesmaids. They are working together on duties. But my maid of honor will stand next to me. She was selected first. LOL I just did not want one bridesmaid, so she is married and it fit.

Go for it

I have both a Matron of Honor (my older sister) and a Maid of Honor (my best friend). It is completely okay, I’d rather not choose between them either!

I’m having a maid and matron!  They are both my sisters and I couldn’t imagine picking one over the other.  Seeing as one is married and the other is not it works out, but if neither were married or vise versa I would just have two MOHs. :).  Perfectly acceptable!

I’m having both…but we have decided that all of our attendants are “honorary” so I’m having 4 Matron of honors and 1 maid of honor.

I only have a matron of honor (my sister), maid of honor (FSIL), and jr. Bridesmaid or Best Man (my daughter). My sister is going to stand closest to me, but both will do a special reading or something.

I have both. My bestie will be married by the time I get married and my sister will likely still be single. There was no way I couls choose between the two. Im going to have then share duties.

I wanted to have both (my Future Sister-In-Law and my sister), but my sister thinks it’s stupid and refuses.  🙁

I couldn’t choose between my sisters, so I have a Matron of Honor & a Maid of Honor, and 1 (friend) Bridesmaid. I don’t see anything wrong with it! I also shared Maid of Honor duties in my oldest sister’s wedding with my other sister.

I chose my BFF to be my Maid/Matron of Honor and later added another close friend.. so I have 2 MOHs. I will have my BFF with a sparkly headband and my other wearing the same one around like a sash.. I am having my BFF walk where the traditional Maid/Matron of Honor would.. but maybe you could have your girls walk together?

I’m having both. My sister is my Matron of Honor and my best friend is my Maid of Honor. My sister lives in another state, and not able to help with a lot of the pre-wedding stuff, so my best friend is doing most of the typical “maid of honor duties.” On the day of the wedding my bestfriend will be standing nearest to me, and my sister will be next. My sister is really chill about the whole thing though, so she’s not offended or jealous that I’m putting my friend first.

I’m having both a maid and a matron of honor. Two best friends and I couldn’t possible choose one over the other. They are both unmarried now but one will be married before my wedding, so she’s matron (and actually kinda digging the title).

They’ve split up what to do amongst themselves (one standing closer, one holding bouquet, etc.) and it seems to be working out well.
