I had both a Maid and Matron of Honor. They are my sisters and I couldn’t choose between them. I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings so I had both, and it worked out fine.

ME!  But I just call them my Maids of Honor because neither is married.

One is my sister and only sibling–we are really close in age and really close friends. She is really my best friend.

But then there was my non-relative best friend, who also happens to be my sister’s best friend too!

So I chose them both!

I split the duties up like this:  Sis gets to stand next to me on the wedding day, carry FI’s ring, sit next to me at the reception, and basically be maid of honor that day.

BFF gets to plan my bridal shower and bachelorette.

Both get to make a toast, and both are invited to all dress shopping, etc.

So far it has worked out beautifully–they both got the jobs they preferred!

But you may need to split yours up a little differently–Maybe have one plan the bach and the other plan the shower; one can stand next to you during the ceremony and the other can sit next to you during the reception; one can carry your FI’s ring, and the other can hold your bouquet during the ring exchange.  And of course, they should both get to make a toast 🙂

I have a maid and a matron of honor. Both are my best friends, but it was easy to choose who would be who since one is married and has 3 little girls and the other isn’t married/ doesn’t have kids! Both went along to the dress shopping and are pretty involved with the wedding. My Maid of Honor is wearing an arm wrap and has a different bouquet to “call her out” but I still haven’t decided how to point out my Matron of Honor.

I’m having two MOH’s because I can’t choose between my two best friends! The only silly part is I’m having 2 MOH’s and only 1 Bridesmaid or Best Man (my FI’s best friend.. ha!)
