Well its now xmas here but I did have a bit of a sucky xmas eve.

I worked from 6am – 3pm then we had our traditional xmas BBQ with friends, except DH’s friend came whos well to be put it nicely is no where near close to being like the rest of us. He ended up drinking too much and was violently ill in front of us all by 10pm… (we started at 7!!) It was just disgusting especially for someone who does not drink at all. I personally find it very disrespectful after all the effort we went to and all the other guests that were enjoying the night! Things just ended then, and we had to spend a good hour trying to get him a ride home (we didnt know where he was living and he was too drunk to tell us!)

Oh there was also the message from my family telling me basically im not welcome at xmas with them. So I just have my partners small family rather than my family that we go see all on the one day… oh and its the first xmas without my Nana who meant everything to me 🙁 ok im going to stop now im making myself cry.

Yes, I am having an absolutely horrible Christmas Eve.  I have the stomach flu and have been throwing up and having diarrhea all day (sometimes at the same time).  Pretty picture, but you asked. :/

Sorry to hear about ur sucky night. I am at FI’s family’s Christmas eve party which is usually fine cause I enjoy his family. So I get here, ask “Aunt Deb where can I get a beverage (NOT alcoholic this house is dry and I respect that”. She looks at me and says “Good luck you can have water nobody brought the sodas”. I seriously thought she was joking. I dont love water I drink it playing sports and throughout the day but not with my meals. So my Fiance, Future Sister-In-Law, Future Brother-In-Law and FI’s cousin decide to run to the store to grab sodas. As were heading out his Aunt says “You REALLY cant just drink water?” I politely said “No” and walked toward the door and she yelled out “Well we are eating without u then!” I giggled and said Thats ok and headed to meet the rest of his family who was in the car already. I was sooooooooooo miffed. Who plans a Christmas Eve party and expecta everyone to just drink water???? Now there is tension which is awkward  So annoyed

I am. Ugh. Fiance forgot all my gifts 3 hours away. Poor guy I guess he thought that they were in there but when I dumped it out it was just some leftover candy from Halloween. Merry Christmas to me.

Sounds like an adventure, but at least you are with most of your family and you can laugh about a little more as the drinks keep coming!

FH is staying, living at my house but left me alone to go hang out with friends at 8 p.m… it’s now going on 11 p.m. with no word or contact with him. I will be going to bed shortly, wondering if he’ll show up for Christmas Day.

My SO lost his job Friday (merry christmas, right?)….I’ve worked 6 days in a row, and was supposed to work tonight (double time!! so I wanted to for the money because I’m gonna need it) but got mandatoried to stay home…and I work tomorrow too. It’s been a stressful couple days to the max!

@dragonlover:  You were nice enough to provide him with a place to stay after what his landlord did, and he ditched you on Christmas Eve?!?!

It’s just me, Fiance, and his nephew here. They are playing video games and I’m missing my family like crazy Frown
