I think my e-ring is going to get damaged. I mean, I don’t even like when my Fiance holds my hand anymore because I’m afraid his ring will brush against mine ! I know this is nuts, but in my defence, I think there’s a full moon tonight, lol.
Seriously, though, diamonds are the hardest substance in the world, right? And I don’t obsess because I’m materialistic, but because I’m sentimental. Don’t want anything to damage this symbol of everlasting love my Fiance gave me.

I was like that in the beginning – now I wear my rings while playing softball! Haha…I feel like it’s something you have to get over eventually. To make you feel more at ease, make sure you get your ring insured. If you rent, you can add it to your tenants policy and if you own a home, you can add it to your homeowners insurance. So, should anything happen to it, it can always be replaced or fixed.

I’m not obsessed, but my Fiance sure is! He is constantly freaking out that one of the prongs is going to get bent, etc. Do you have it insured? That should help alleviate some of the stress (although not from sentimental perspective). And the diamond is unlikely to get damaged, and you can always get the setting fixed!

No, you’re not the only one-I’m nervous about my ring too-it’s in a partial bezel setting so I don’t have to worry about prongs but I still freak out when I bang my hand up against something by accident-I could still take a chunk out of the girdle *yikes* Mine’s insured but it’s a old european cut so it’d be so hard to find a replacement 🙁

I hear ya ! I was just having a smoke break and a bit of ash flew on my ring. I drenched it with water from my water bottle ! Please let’s hope this is also just pms, lol

I didn’t feel this way before, but a diamond fell out of my ring last night 🙁 I’ve had the ring 2 1/2 months, but I have a micro pave setting (I’ve heard diamonds fall out of that easily). Luckily it’s a small diamond and it has a lifetime warranty form the store and is insured, but it sure made me sad 🙁

I’m kind of the same way…I’m careful about taking it off when I do certain things. FH fist pounded my left hand once and I FREAKED out because his giant gold class ring hit my ring. I had to apologize after b/c I seriously overacted and was shouting things like, “You’ve ruined it!” so yeah, I guess I WAS a little crazy.

Heehee! Maybe at first, but it just becomes a part of your hand after a while, especially if you don’t typically take it off for sports/cooking/activities. While I’d be upset if something happened to it, it’s a lot more durable than my actual finger or anything else I’m wearing, so I don’t worry about it.
