Yes! I am so happy about it!

    I am thinking about it...

No, the traditional route is perfect for me.

Other-if marked please leave a comment! Thanks :-)

I will be. I will be doing a black corset top but the skirt will be red with black lace overlay.  I wouldn’t have it any other way, since it fits my theme.

@punky_brewster hey! you’re at blush bridal in victoria!! I’ve been there…be aware of them! They name all their wedding dresses the wrong name!

I am being pretty traditional about the dress…it does have a green sash, but it’s ivory. I don’t think that there is anything “wrong” with wearing a colored dress, but be prepared for family members and guests to talk!

Also, I picked ivory prom dresses in high school…it’s not a “purity” thing for me, ivory just makes me feel classy and special, and you should pick whatever color makes you feel comfortable and gorgeous! Good luck!

@evalague: actually my mom bought it so it didn’t cost me anything. I did save some money buying it off the rack.  Thank you though

I would have LOVED to wear a coloured dress, but I know my Fiance is expecting something white or ivory :/. Meh, I just hope he likes me in the dress I chose. I am sooo paranoid that he won’t :S

I’m wearing a red wedding dress! I bought Maggie Sottero Lana in ruby and here’s the thread where I posted pics from the initial fitting.  (I do plan on losing at least 10-20lbs before the wedding next October, so hopefully it will look MUCH better on me by then.)  I love it – I looked everywhere for it and I know I wouldn’t have been happy with anything else.  I’d love to see pics of yours!

    Me in my red dress!

@Lassroyale:date twins!!  and we are both wearing red!  that is the dress I fell in love with, but when I went to the bridal shop, they told me it was discontinued Frown  I could have ordered it, but didn’t want to without trying it on.  It looks amazing on you.  congrats!!

@kimmyray: Yay, date twins! I live out in AZ so the weather is perfect this time of year – I’m keeping a close eye on the weather this week, lol.  I actually had the good fortune to be able to try on the Lana dress in white at the bridal shop, so once I got a feel for it I decided to go ahead and order it.

I love the dress you’re wearing though! The jewel accents in the skirt really give it an extra extravagent and elegant feel. 🙂 I love red wedding dresses – I can’t imagine wearing any other color, to be honest.

Mine is kind of traditional. It’s white but it has black lace around the waist and along the train (Maggie Sottero’s Beth). It’s just perfect! I wanted my dress to have black lace incorporated (I LOVE black lace), but I still wanted a touch of tradition.

I had originally envisioned some kind of white dress with bold accents, or possibly a colored dress with white or lace accents — but a this point the colored dresses seem like they best option, given time pressure.  (I don’t technically need a fancy dress for the civil ceremony we’ll have in approx. 4 months, but I want one….)  Our reception will be months later and on another continent, so I’m planning to wear something pretty and dressy for that as well — but I don’t think there’s any need for it to look like a “wedding” dress at that point.

    Hi to my peeps,

I really want to wear a red dress or any color that looks good on me.  I really don’t want a white gown.  I haven’t started trying on gowns yet, but I will keep you posted on my decision.  I think you should wear what makes you happy and something that allows your personality to shine.
