Yes! I am so happy about it!

    I am thinking about it...

No, the traditional route is perfect for me.

Other-if marked please leave a comment! Thanks :-)

@Mooki:  No! It looks totally bridal, but with just enough of a unique twist! It’s perfect

I attended a wedding a few years ago where the bride (an artist) wore a gorgeous berry-colored silk ballgown. It was such a vibrant jewel-tone, the color was absolutely stunning and the dress itself in no way felt less “bridal” to me than a white-toned dress. It was perfect for her.

ETA: Should also note that this was otherwise a traditional wedding in Virginia – church ceremony followed by big, formal reception.

@lindseyl06:  Was everyone okay with your dress? Like you Mother-In-Law or your mom/sister?

I wore a light blue dress with a white embroidered organza overlay the first time around. I think colored wedding dresses are awesome.  I got so may compliments on my colored dress last time 🙂 I think I’m going to go with ivory, or something a little darke ths time around, but I’ll be open to colors if I find something I like.

i’m still dress shopping so i’m not sure what i’ll end up with.  i’m open to anything at this point.  however if there are any bees out there looking for a beautiful pink wedding gown, my good friend is selling her gorgeous custom pink taffeta creation.  it’s listed in classifieds but i’ll post the link.  it is really breathtaking.

First time I wore blush pink…one by Demetrios…I look jaundiced in white and even worse in ivory!

But this time I’m wearing something more like me! A local seamstress is making it for me…

The dress I’m in LOVE with right now is ivory, but it has a watercolor floral pattern on it in reds and blues and yellows. I can’t wait to actually try it on.

I could have ordered my gown in gold, and I was going to, But at last minute I changes my mind and ordered Ivory because the gold made my skin look yellow =c but it looked cool! If it didnt make my skin look wierd i would hae deffinatly ordered it

I really wanted a black dress but then realized how many times am I going to be able to wear a white wedding dress and get away with it…probably only this once. And I’ve worn a black dress to junior prom and a red dress to senior prom so I’ll stay traditional.

When I started trying on wedding dresses I liked the ivory way better than white on my skin tone. My mom saw a blusk/pink dress on a mannequine and suggested I try it (I can’t believe she was for non-traditional). I was like “no way, I’m not wearing pink”. Then one day after work I stopped in a salon by myself and tried on the Maggie Sottero Divina in blush and fell in love with the color. The divina wasn’t the dress for me but I know that I must have a blush/pink dress.

I plan to get a custom made dress, Gemma by Jasmine’s Bridal, and I’m ordering fabric samples to find a blush color. I’m so excited and can’t wait to see what everyone thinks of the blush dress.
