My soon to be and I have been together for almost 10 years, already have two kids together and are finally tieing the knot this June. Our wedding is about the wedding but more about the party. Our invite list is roughly 55, best friends and family. I’m wondering if anyone out there is planning a low key wedding and has any ideas about keeping it real and also affordable? We are having our wedding and reception in a home in downtown Toronto. I’m looking for advice on how we can transform the beautiful back garden into eden. I still need to find quite a few vendors: cake, linens & chairs, hair & nails. Any vendors you would like to recomend would be appreciated.

I wish I could do a backyard wedding, my backyard and time of year wont allow for it)
I heard a few very good ideas for decorations for a low cost wedding (im trying to make everything i can). Buy christmas lights, after christmas, their cheaper and you can even buy the green wired kind since its outside, you put those everywhere and things transform quickly.
Do you know anyone who bakes, or does hair, just ask people are willing to do something for a friend if not free, at a lower cost.
as for centre pieces since urs is in june, you could do many many things, go to dollarama, and find some really nice vases, and fill them with anything you can find, from rocks and flowers to twigs with buds on them.
add a little sparkle with lights or even craft sparkles.
