Very casual!

We’re hosting a dinner at an Irish pub.  Very laid back food, beer.

I’m really looking forward to having the contrast between the Rehearsal Dinner and our formal wedding.

We’re planning to having a burger/hot dog BBQ at a community shelter near Mr. Snow’s grandmother’s house. Not fancy at all (and not even any booze for us at this shindig), which I like!

We’re having BBQ for the reception, so we wanted something even lower key than that for the Rehearsal Dinner.

I LOVE the Qdoba idea. Mr. Snow’s family’s handling our Rehearsal Dinner details, but otherwise, I’d totally get behind some Qdoba chips and queso!

We’re having a pizza party rehearsal dinner on the 37th floor party space in our building.  Pizza and opening up our liquor collection, and a great view of the lake and downtown Chicago.  Super casual.

a friend is giving us her backyard for our rehearsal dinner.  BBQ style, which makes me relieved!

rather have out of towners come and be a part of the special times….

We are just having dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant. I’d love to have a BBQ at my parents, however I don’t want to burden anyone with cooking/cleaning the night before the wedding

We’re hosting and serving a mix of regional favorites and family recipes.  We both have family in Texas, and he’s from the Rocky Mountain West, so we went with a cowboy theme.

We had a dessert bar and you-call-it speciality coffee ‘welcome party’ (we didn’t do a rehearsal) for all our Out of Town guests.  It was awesome.  We had the exclusive use of a little mom-and-shop coffee bar after hours–they had a giant table of homemade desserts for us (cheesecake ‘lolipops’, mmmmmm) and baristas made up whatever drinks folks wanted.

We had a local tamale place cater it for about $8/pp (including drinks and servers and delivery!).  We didn’t serve alcohol, and it all took place in the backyard.  We had an ice cream sundae bar for dessert and had a local dance teacher come to teach everyone a swing dance.  The whole thing cost less than $500.

Ours is pretty casual. There aren’t a huge variety of venues in the small town we are having the wedding. FIs parents chose to host it at a small Greek pizzeria. We are renting the banquet room, and providing alcohol, pizzas, salads, and pastas. I’m very excited!

We’re just having dinner at Houlihan’s by the hotel. We’re doing an open bar and dinner, compliments of my soon to be Mother-In-Law. There won’t be any actual rehearsal though.

Love the Qdoba idea, Dana!  And suddenly I’m very hungry for a burrito.

We’re doing a BBQ or getting pizza and beer for all the out-of-town people who are around.  We haven’t quite figured it out yet, but I guess we’d better decide soon!
