@legenwaitforitdary:  +1 It’s just not something we care strongly about, and I don’t think anyone else will either.

I didn’t and no one noticed. Not worth the stress!

@chelseahurtado89:  We didn’t, all the weddings I’ve been to the favors were edible and I figured given the budget and the fact that we’re already feeding people it was really unnecessary…. 🙂

We’re skipping favours, also due to budget.

We aren’t!  I think it’s becoming less and less of a “must do.”  The last three weddings I went to did not have them and we didn’t miss them at all.  I’d rather spend the extra money on better food/dj/experience for my guests AT the wedding.

I’m really thinking we aren’t going to do them.  I dont’ want them to be something that people just leave on teh table at the end of the night. They seem kind of pointless actually

I’m skipping them. Not only for budget reasons, but more for avoiding further wedding-related headaches reasons.

I really like the idea of making a charitable donation in lieu of a favor.

My boyfriend’s father passed after battling cancer at a young age, and to never meet him or become his daughter-in-law weighs heavily on my heart. To be able to make a donation in his honor feels like a nice way to include his memory on the day our families unite.

I haven’t thought specifics yet, but that’s my inclination.

I’m not having favors because we are having a photo booth.  I don’t think anyone will miss them one bit, because, let’s be honest here: a photo booth is a lot more fun than a cheap candle of picture frame.

We aren’t doing them due to budget but also because we think they are a waste of money.

We will be inviting people to take home the candles and flower centerpieces.

I am also considering take-out boxes for cake :).

Honestly, who can afford favors after spending so much on a party for everyone?

@shaka:

I love this idea. I lost my firstborn during labour and delivery, but he’s not the child of my FI so I didn’t want to make it all about that for our wedding, OR we defintely would have wanted to do a donation to a pregnancy and infant loss cause instead.
