I’m not even concerned with it. my Maid/Matron of Honor is out of state so I don’t expect her to put one together. my mom is out in the middle of the Pacific (living in Hawaii… I’m so jealous), so I know she won’t be able to do it. my bridesmaids are scattered as well. if they surprise me with one, then great I love a party. If they can’t I won’t miss it at all. actually I’d prefer if they didn’t.

now the bachelorette party is another story. I only get to see my best friend a few days in the year and I can’t wait to party with her. I imagine every time she visits from now until the wedding we’ll have “mini bachelorette parties”.. lol really just a girls night. what we usually do anyway 😉

Someone offered t throw us one.  I basically said that if they did, I would not attend.  The idea of a party in which I have to look equally thrilled with each of the four toasters sounds like torture to me.  Plus, I’m not big on single-sex parties–I’ve always found the men’s parties more interesting than the women’s, if they get split up.

No shower for me. We moved to a different province about a year ago and with the wedding and going home once before then for a few days it is not feasible to go home for a weekend for a shower.

I will be back almost a week before the wedding so with the girls in my bridal party we are going to have a girls night. Do something fun and hang out together!

My sisters tried to set one up, but my mom told them we would get presents at the wedding so we don’t need a shower. So even though I hadn’t planned on having one that was a bit disappointing (not in a getting presents way), but this is the same family that didn’t throw us a baby shower either.

Its kind of disappointing when friends don’t step up to at least OFFER to have a shower or some kind of get together before the wedding.

I personally don’t want a shower, but it hasn’t been offered either, a little upset by that for some weird emotional reason (!!!) but I definately want to have some kind of get together one evening, mixed men and women because thats the kind of couple we are, and will be very upset if THAT subject hasn’t been brought up….its now94 days until the wedding so we shall see!
