Well, I’m not married yet, but I don’t think you’d really *need* a purse.  If there’s anything of importance that you need, you could just give it to one of your bridesmaids or your parents to hold on to.

I’m leaning towards not having one, because I don’t want to worry about leaving/losing it.

I used on! My mom got me a vintage beaded one off Ebay for like $30. I put my Id in it, my credit card (you just never know), lipstick, lipgloss, safety pins, tissues. Not much, but I liked not having to be like “I need my lipstick!” cuz i could just whip it out real quick. It was definitely not necessary though. But mom got it for me so I wanted to use it. And it was covered in beads and sparkled a lot so it was really pretty!

I bought one! I got it at The Shoe Company and I think it was $30. I plan on having someone hold it for me during the ceremony.

I had a purse that I used once to reapply lipstick during the reception. One of my BMs or mom could easily have carried my lipstick for me, so it really wasn’t necessary. BUT, my purse was vital when Darling Husband and I got to our hotel following the reception. He left his wallet with the clothes he wore to the ceremony prior to changing into his tux, so it was in his parents’ car. If I hadn’t had my purse with my credit card in it, we wouldn’t have been able to pay for our hotel 🙂 IMO, a purse isn’t really something anyone but you will see, so you really don’t need to drop much (or any) money on one if you choose to use one at all.

I have a pocket on my dress, so I might use that.  Otherwise I’m looking to borrow one from a friend.

For the first time in my life (it feels like it) I will not wear a purse.  I think I will feel naked!!!

I bought one, then never used it even for a minute.  I never even put anything in it.  It may still have tags on it.

I used my mom’s purse that my grandmother bought for my mom when my mom got married.  Mom still had the reciept, it cost granmda $8.35 back in 1980.  The same purse would probably have cost closer to $50 today.  Maybe look at Goodwill, Salvation Army, thrift stores to see if you can find something.

ETA: I’m glad I had it, I needed it to hold the money to pay for the tip for our Limo driver, also had my lipstick and tissues in it.  It was really important, but I didn’t carry it at the ceremony just between the ceremony and for the reception. It was nice being able to grab my purse to reapply lipstick during the ceremony.

I found a beautiful clutch in perfect condition at Goodwill for $9.  If I hadn’t gotten it there, I wouldn’t have gotten one.

Here is my blog post about it.

I borrowed one from my Mother-In-Law.  I wouldn’t buy one for the wedding if someone has something that will work.  Plus you will barely have it with you for pictures or anything so it doesn’t really matter if it matches.

I have one 🙂

It is really pretty from etsy! I got it personalized inside with my name and my fiances name. I also got one for my maid of honor in lilac (wedding color).

I want it for lipstick/gloss, ID, credit card, compact, etc just in case!

I don’t think it is a must though

i’m using my mom’s, that she used for my brother’s wedding. i wouldn’t go spend a fortune on one, because i’m sure it’ll just sit at your seat just in case you need it. i HAVE to have one, because i take meds and need them with me at all times. and i’d like to have lipstick, and bandaids in case i get a blister.

I just bought one – I really wanted it for my lipstick as well as my cell phone – I have this fear that I won’t be able to track down my dad when I get to the ceremony site and need to call him lol – it is super cute and purple which is my color.  I am sure my Maid/Matron of Honor will be holding it most of the time but it will be near by.
