I’m struggling with the exact same thing.  I look forward to seeing everyone’s responses.

The night I got engaged I was playing around on You Tube and found this version of the wedding march and I cried: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIyXWm_cw2E so this is what I’m using.

I too LOVE Canon in D but it’s a really long song so I’m going to use that for the rest of the wedding party walking down the aisle.

Wedding march for me! I was going to use Canon in D for my bridal party but honestly I’ve heard it at every wedding I’ve been to so I was leaning toward Con Te Partiro. I don’t think I’m completely sold on that yet though.

My music director is really trying to talk me out of it and to do Trumpet Voluntary.   I had no idea that so many people turn their noses up to it.   It’s all I ever remember seeing, and I have to do a song that can be played by piano.

Canon in D makes me cry every time.  I have to talk FH about this though because he is Mr. Music

We had Canon in D for our wedding party, and then I came in to the Wedding March. I thought it was very classic… But I may be a bit biased. 🙂

@vicozzie: I am using the same song. I found it when I got engaged last May. I contacted Jonathan Cain via his website, and the team sent me the full version on an MP3 because the CD is hard to get.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE that song. The church we are getting married at is trying to force me to walk down the isle to the wedding march. So I have decided to wear my ipod in my ears and walk down to THE WEDDING SONG BY KENNY G. To me the wedding march is outdated and way over used. It’s just to OLD FASHIONED  for me.

I was going to walk to the Wedding March, but my pastor discouraged me because he said it comes from an opera where the bride is pregnant or something. I don’t really remember the whole deal, but I decided it wasn’t worth arguing if he was set against it. So, I went with the Trumpet Voluntary. It was just easier. I don’t have a problem with the March myself, though.
