Just wondering, am planning on asking my doctor this next time we talk before the wedding. I love yaz and have been taking the generic for months due to hormonal imballances. I am wondering if this alone is enough for birth control (FH and I plan on waiting a few months to have sex, so we’ve never relied just on this to cover all bases)
Any bees out there with advice? Have you found it to be enough? I am on a relatively middle-to-higher dose.

Nothing but abstinence is 100% but if you are taking it the way you should (everyday at the same time) the chances are really low. I guess it just depends on if you can handle having a child if you happen to fall in that slim percent that does get pregnant. I have had mirena (an IUD) for almost 2 years now and in the past 8 months have rarely used backup protection. Mirena is supposed to be more effective than birth control pills though. Definitely talk to your doctor about it though!

We have always used a back up method- no matter what BC I was on. Right now I use the Nuva Ring but always use the pullout method.
