Depends on where you live. Some states set the prices of EVERYTHING liquor related beer, wine, booze. In Maine they only set booze prices but you have to make a certin % off beer/wine and you cant give discounts on the more you buy. Some states dont i would just keep an eye out for store flyers and buy when you know its on sale.

Yep depends on state, most have a state minimum that all beer can be priced at.

Here in California, the sales at places like Smart & Final, the grocery stores and the pharmacies, (yes, they sell beer at the pharmacies here) are less expensive than Costco by a couple of dollars for a 24 pack. The advantage of buying at Costco is that you can return your unopened beer. It probably has to be the unopened boxes, not just cans/bottles. Tongue out

you might be able to catch really good sales other then costco… We are going there for our hard liquor though because they have the bigger bottles and are cheaper then stores…

If i were you I would wait for 4th of July to go out and buy beer… IMO beer doesn’t taste that good when its kept for a long time…But they should have GREAT sales for 4th of July and supermarkets. and buy the beer that hasn’t been refridgerated yet…

In my area, it’s not.  I’d think you’d be better off doing some price comparison shopping and waiting for sales.

Buying alcohol in WA is out of control.  We’re only able to purchase hard liquor at state run liquor stores. On top of that there is also retail sales tax and liquor tax (paid to the WA liquor control board) applied.

We’re buying ALL of our hard liquor and wine from Oregon…We’re doing the beer through our venue!!

I see you’re in GA, and so am I. We bought our beer at BJ’s Wholesale and it was a LOT cheaper than anywhere else I checked! But – you can’t return beer in Georgia, like you can in some places.

And we bought our beer a month out from the wedding, and it was fine. They put a date on it, like with everything else. 🙂
