I think black is fine in the evening (like toward sunset), but not for a daytime outdoor wedding.  Too oppressive for a nice sunny day.

Black is great! That’s what I picked. 🙂

I’m going to brighten things up with flowers and shoes.  I plan on bouquets with different shades of pink and hot pink shoes for my girls.

I think as long as you have some colourful elements it will be beautiful any time of the year.

@Bkeriopi:  my wedding is a day before yours and my bridesmaids are wearing black chiffon dresses. but my venue is indoor in a building built in the victorian age… if I had a outdoor wedding I would pick softer colour red (still bold)…but hurry your wedding is coming up quick, you probably have to buy off the rack!

may i add we have the exact same colour sheme..except i am adding gold and champaign to soften the look a bit.

@Bkeriopi:  i just read your update after i commented. going for a short dress is the way to go then for your outdoor wedding (may i ask is your reception outdoor as well?)

make sure it’s a light fabric…like organza or chiffon. I am positive your wedding will look great!!!

Black is always appropriate and looks very sharp! For the summertime, I think shorter dresses work well.

I think black would be fine on a shorter dress, but a floor-length black gown outside in June seems heavy to me.

I think black is fine, but I would go for a light flowy fabric like chiffon.

No black in spring or summer… blush would be lovely.
