I have been looking at a beautiful dress on this website, and am thinking of buying it for my wedding, but I can’t find anything about the site? Is it safe? For real? Quality?
If you have any information, please let me know!

Please Girls! I need some hive support on this one… anyone know anything about this website?

It’s website own by a Chinese company that makes replica designer dresses. I’ve read more than one story about the dress comes back not looking at all like the original, poorly made and return policy is sketchy. You can do a search on the forum and you’ll find many horror stories. However, if you decide to buy the dress anyway, have a back up plan (back up dress fund) just in case.

OK, I actually just got a dress from brideswardrobe — i couldn’t resist the price. i ordered it 3/1/11 and got it 4/13/11. the dress i picked was a v_ _ _ w_ _ _ design — they even took the pictures from the designer’s website. i sent in all my measurements and hoped for the best — the customer service emails were kind of flaky (english is not their first language). it arrived in a tiny package, turned inside out, and i was holding my breath. so here’s the deal — it did fit beautifully — the bodice/waist/hips of my dress were very fitted, and that part was perfect — fit like a glove. But the skirt of the dress i wanted had kind of intricate/unusual ruffles and they obviously just slapped on a bunch of whatever kind of ruffles — the skirt part looks like a Carmen Miranda dress — not at all like the original design, which was very elegant/subtle. it also had a long train the original didn’t seem to have, and no way to bustle it up. i wrote them to complain, and they basically blew off my email and said to hang it up and the ruffles might flatten out. you are pretty much getting what you pay for — the fabric looked ok but not great, sewing was ok but not great — but it would’ve been fine if not for the skirt — the top part is really cute. i may take it to a dressmaker and see if some of the ruffles can be removed or if i could just remove the whole thing and add a new overlay. so if you’re thinking about using them, i would say yes if the dress you want is very simple (no ruffles, lace, or unusual designs/details, etc.), because they are basically just looking at a photo and giving it their best guess on how to make it. good luck!

Hi – DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! I have been chasing them for months for a refund on a dress I returned to them and (surprise, surprise) they either fob me off, ignore my emails or people mysteriously disappear from the company and I have to start all over again.
The dress I received was nothing like the dress I ordered. Plus:
- The stitching was already coming undone
- There were spot stains on the material
- The top layer of material and the one beneath it did not line up and this was clearly visible so it looked messy and unfinished
- The sheer material around the bodice hung loose and uneven & did not create a flat bodice like the one in the picture
My first port of call after receiving the dress was to take it to a dressmaker who said there was nothing she could do to fix the dress (and no, she had not time to make me one from scratch so this wasn’t said in order to get more business). Dressmaker said that it was so poorly made and the fabric of such an inferior quality that she couldn’t possibly improve it.
I ended up having to get a last minute dress which wasn’t what I had imagined for my wedding day…and without any exaggeration, it really put a dampner on the celebrations for me.
Still no response from them and they still have my money!
