So I went dress shopping last weekend and kind of fell in love with a Casablanca gown. It retails for like, $1,100 which isn’t unreasonable but more than I wanted to pay.
So I looked online everywhere, and found it on eBay in my size, with no damage (I emailed the seller and asked specifically). It’s like, a fourth of the original price. Should I buy it, or is it too risky? They do have that eBay insurance or whatever that says if you get the item and it is not as it was described, then you can return it and get your money back. I think it sounds like a good idea, that could backfire terribly.
Thoughts? I’ve got about four days to decide.

I don’t have any personal experience with this yet, but from what I’ve read elsewhere you need to be careful to check if the dress has already had alterations. Some bridal gowns do not hold up under a second round of alterations. Good luck!

I bought my gown through preownedwedding.com but luckily I was close in proximity to the seller so I was able to go try the dress on before buying it. Is this dress used? If its brand new with tags, I don’t see any negatives. And like you pointed out, you have the insurance to fall back on! Just make sure its not a replica, Ive heard of people trying to pass on “designer” gowns that are fakes. Good luck!

is that the original dress or just a replica, as i have seen usually 2nd hand dress sold for around half the original price. if it is too cheap, i will not buy it.
