@dodgercpkl: Yes, I rented the big theater room with the vaulted ceilings and wood beams. I just LOVED the look of it and the vacinity to the terraces. My fiance and all his friends are big cigar smokers and are planning on lighting up some time during the night, so I knew I wanted to be next to them. Also, we decided to get married outside in front of the water feature and the creek. If by some misfortune it rains, we will get married on the stage inside. But, it’s Orange County so it should be ok.  =o)

Any advice or tips for me on the community center?

For my city, the cost is between $14,891 and $24,818, with 131 to 145 guests. We had 17 guests (at our reception) and spent just under $1k for EVERYTHING (food, rings, attire, etc.).

Nope. My zipcode said between $16,967 and $28,278. We are spending nothing even CLOSE to the high number, and about half of the low number. I will say, I’m definitely a budget conscious bride and do not wish to spend a lot. But I feel like, based on my friends and the weddings we have gone to over the past year, 20,000+ wasn’t spent on ANY of them. I dk. I feel like these things are kind of silly. Maybe helpful information to be aware of, but I wouldn’t base my own budget on them.

We’re in Akron, Ohio – the estimate was pretty right on.  We’re spending about 25K for 150 ppl.
