Is CZ jewelry tacky for a bride?

I wore both on my wedding day! I wanted statement earrings but could never afford real ones. But I did go for a dainty diamond pendant necklace, which I now wear every day for the most part.

I don’t think its as tacky as blowing thousands on just one day….

But we’re all different and its down to personal choice

My ring is CZ and I absolutely love it. I personally feel it’s far more “tacky” to look down on people who choose a more affordable, more ethical stone than it is to wear that stone.

Some people aren’t diamond people, it doesn’t make them tacky. Some people don’t like mined gemstones at all for ethical reasons, it doesn’t make them tacky. Some people don’t agree with the diamond industry’s business practices, it doesn’t make them tacky.

It’s your wedding day, wear what makes you feel amazing and don’t worry about being viewed as “tacky” for wearing simulated gemstones.

I don’t see it as tacky at all. While I likely won’t personally choose to wear CZ jewelry on my wedding day, I don’t care whether other brides do. I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference either. You do you!

I recently met a woman with a beautiful heart-shaped engagement ring. I complimented her on how gorgeous it was and she told me it was CZ because she lost her real one. Point being, many people can’t tell the difference! As PP said, you do you!

yupmarried :  well, as you said, if your dress has “bling” i’m pretty sure that’s not diamonds. and same goes for blingy bridal belts and blingy bridal shoes. pretty much everything is crystald or CZ. i dont see the problem.
