Yes, but we just did it for fun with a friend who likes photography. I don’t think it is something I would have spent money on – although they were amazing!. ๐Ÿ™‚

we did, but we did them ourselves. We really didn’t want to spend our money on engagement photos.

We are because they are included in our photog package.  We have contemplated paying for an extra session though so that we could include our dogs (they are pretty high energy, so I don’t want to waste our whole engagement session trying to snap 4 good pictures with them).

Nope, but I’m from Scotland and it doesn’t seem very common over here

We hadn’t really planned to, but the photographer we booked included a free engagement session and I tend to tense up around cameras.  So we’re going to do it as a way for me to relax around our photographer hopefully on the wedding day.   Won’t have them in time for our STD cards, but it will be nice to have them for us if nothing else, we never have had a nice pro photo done together.

We did! But only because I needed the engagement pictures for a photobook that I made as an alternative guest sign in book. The book had nice layouts of the e-photos and blank spaces for guests to sign a little message.  I love looking at it now. It is our coffee table book ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re working on a budget so we won’t be doing engagement pics.  I doubt we’ll miss them anyway.

With that said, we actually don’t have ANY photos of us together.  My most recent individual professional photo is from 10 years ago, his is about 30 years.  I think it will be too much anxiety for us.  If we regret the decision, there’s nothing written stating that we can’t do it after we get married.  Given the stress I will be under, I think thats a better idea.

Yes, we will be doing them.  I’m kind of excited, as it’s a deluxe engagement session that includes a couple of wardrobe changes and professional hair and makeup!  ๐Ÿ™‚

@sommertime: We’re thinking of doing that, too!  Glad to hear you actually look at it.  ๐Ÿ™‚  Where did you order yours from?

It came with our photographer. It was nice because we don’t have a ton of pictures together (husband hates pictures for the most part), and I was able to tell my photographer what I liked and didn’t like (though the photographer had been in our family for a while — took family portraits, senior pictures, several other weddings, so he knew us pretty well already).

It was just a fun time. And technically “free”.

We did them and I LOVE the way they came out. Im thinking about using them for our table numbers. We used them for our save the dates as well. We had such an awesome time with our photog and I’m thrilled with the way they came out. They were super unique and I love his style. I honestly cant wait to see what he does with our wedding pics!!!

My Fiance is very against pics (he is so annoying about pictures, it drives me crazy!) I might have my sister shoot a few pics at a pretty lake around us but that’s about it. He thinks they are very cheesy and forced and cringes when he sees other people’s.
