Not at all.  There are some very sophisticated and elegant floral hairpieces out there.  Etsy has some of the best I’ve seen.  I think the oversized flowers look amazing with a low set chignon.

I don’t think so – not at all. Quite the opposite in my opinion.

It isn’t informal, but it is a bit of a mismatch for a formal ballroom wedding. A hair flower has a feel of a romantic, natural style, and could be appropriate for a wide variety of weddings, but might be more appropriate at a garden wedding than in a very chic sophisticated ballroom affair. It’s not so much about the formality of the event as the overall theme and ambiance you’re going for. You could definitely make it work in some cases.

I think a hair flower is gorgeous, but it is a more relaxed, less formal style rather than a crystal hair comb or band, say. Remember, its will also depend on your hair too. Why not balance the look out with a nice up-do?  However, whatever you choose, I think it will still look gorgeous! Don’t worry too much about rules. If you like the look, go for it!

I think it depends on how it is styled. I think it can be rustic/more casual, or if done up (fancier type of flower, crystals, feathers done with an editing eye, etc) it can be very dressy.

Not at all- I had an outdoor ceremony, followed by an indoor ballroom reception, and I wore a flower:

definitely not! i’m planning on wearing a flower in my hair and we’re having an evening wedding in an urban mansion, so pretty formal.
