Actually, I just received my Watters Delicias dress from Half Bridal right before Christmas. It was also an amazing deal of $1000 less than the store price here. I was pretty skeptical too but they do operate an actual Bridal store (I believe it’s call Anne’s Bridal) and it’s credited on the Watters site.

My dress came in with original Watters tags and the packing tape on the box even had Watters & their address all over it. The service was really good, Phil was great even through my shipping meltdown (that would be my only complaint, I had sent an address update and which they didn’t apply, dress got sent back to them, there was a bit of a delay in sending to me again and after that it got trapped in Canadian customs for a few days and Canada Post decided to be slower than molasses in delivering it)

Overall I’m really happy with everything and my budget even more so!

@heathmarie29: I just posted something right after you, about another website, dressactually.com. For the dress I was interested in, I actually went to the designers website and shot them an email asking if dressactually was one of their vendors. I got a reply within 24 hours, from the designer herself telling me that this was NOT someone they did business with. I was so happy to know that, before I actually put any money down. I say go to the actual Watters website, fill out their customer service contact us link:

http://watters.com/Content/ContactUsForm

and ask if they do business with this vendor. I wish you luck!

I ordered my dress at the beginning of June and it arrived at Half Bridal mid October. They inspect the dresses before they send to the customer and mine had a fold in the sash they couldn’t get out, so it got sent back to Watters to be fixed. The dress came back end of October and was originally shipped Nov 2, I had it in my hands on Dec 20th.

This is a bit late, but halfbridal is a legitimate site.  They are owned by another store called “Ann’s Boutique” and if you go on Watters.com and go to store locater and search for VA you will find them listed.

My maids are ordering their Jim Heljm dresses from this store, and the prices are about 40-50% less than my local store.  Also, I compared a lot of legitimate online sites and they have the best prices I could find.

Oh, and dressactually.com is a Chinese replica site, whereas halfbridal.com is a branch of a US based store selling discounted actual designer dresses.
