I’m a big girl, I hate my arms and I have a horrible tattoo. So I’m going to need a bolero on my big day. Last week I tried this one on, its expensive and im already over budget so I just wondered if I could get a few opinions, or even suggestions if you dont think this is right for me.
Thanks in advance bees xx
p.s the dress I have on here is 2 sizes too small so doesnt hang as it should!

@Darshyk: you are gorgeous. wayyy better looking than that dress makes you look. I dont thing the bolero is the problem. Honestly that gown doesnt suit you. Think less cost and more how it suits you. Pick something that fit you better.
Youre very pretty so it should be easy. I love the a line silhouette, just not the fit of that particular dress. Keep trying and you’ll get there!

@Darshyk: The right bolero is no bolero! You don’t need to cover up your arms! As for the tattoo, your veil drapes right over it. You can probably cover it up with some makeup.

The bolero is fab!! I love it! And for the tattoo there is special make up you can get …my friend got married last year and she had a big tattoo on her arm and she had some special make up to cover it you couldn’t even see it! x

@subtlebee: Oh i’m a very big girl if you saw me normally you would see that the dress flatters me, also that dress was 2 sizes too small and once mine arrives it should hang perfectly 🙂
Im very concious of my flabby arms and would feel very uncomfitable not having some kind of cover over the top of them, maybe in the evening I will feel better and take it off. x

I really like your dress! and the bolero too. Have you tried finding a cheaper version on etsy?
This shop has quite a few affordable 3/4 sleeve boleros.
It is a very pretty bolero, very delicate and elegant and I love how it looks on you. But if it pushes your budget over the limit than a cheaper version might be a better option.

@Darshyk: I am not so easily fooled. you think the gown makes you look good. I posit you make you look good.
Youre very pretty and can do better. youre arms, though normal, shouldnt be your absolute focus. what will your groom see? go from there.

I personally don’t think you need to cover your arms, but of course you should do what makes you feel comfortable! The bolero is lovely. I like the one that Vera Wang does too (from her White collection, it’s sheer tulle with Chantilly lace applique).

It is a lovely bolero – I love the length of the sleeves, and the detailing. I also think boleros do a lot to make strapless gowns more classy. If you don’t end up getting this exact one due to cost, it’s a good guideline for what style to look for – it suits you wonderfully!

Love the bolero! Its so pretty. I have been on a quest to find something for my strapless dress too. I hate my arms. I need something exactly like that. It would be perfect with my dress. If you don’t mind my asking where did you find it??

I think the dress looks beautiful and the bolero itself is beautiful but I’m not sure if the 2 are beautiful together. I think the bling in the dress and the veil don’t match the lace in the bolero. Possibly a different bolero or different veil…. Can’t quite put my finger on it.
