I dont know, the only one who knows is your husband and your SIL.  I will say however that my BIL and SIL have kids that look like other members of the family, especially when you look at their baby pictures.  Your husband and his brother ARE brothers and it wouldnt surprise me if your nephew looked a little like your husband.

I think you should trust your gut…but they are brothers.

I don’t have any advice for you  but your SIL sounds crazy. Telling you to “look at your nephew and think of HB”… um… Sounds like she needs help.

I would tell her that her comments upset you and you would appreciate it if they would stop. If she doesn’t have anything nice to say she shouldn’t open her mouth. If she continues to cause problems I would suggest to her HB that they get counseling.

My sister looks just like my aunt (my mother’s sister). Should I assume that she is actually my cousin and not my sister? I don’t think so. Family resemblance is normal when people are closely related.

That said, if you can’t get a paternity test, you have to decide who you trust: the sister in law, your fiance, or neither.

If you gotta know, get a DNA test.

No. Paternity tests are very definitive even if they are brothers.

Well you’ll need the parent’s permission b/c the child is a minor.  I think there are too many issues to just blurt it out or ask them straight out…both of them will probably refuse.  I think you should go to counseling, seriously.
