Definitely do it!  We registered for a sofa and coffee table from Restoration Hardware just because we’re so in love with it, and we want the discount after the wedding.  Most people know why we put it on the registry and laughed.

definitely thinking of putting a couch on our macy’s one… I know, ridiculous! 🙂 We put all kinds of small furniture on our Target one.

Not bad at all!  I added items to my registry after the wedding so I could get a discount on our “complete your registry event” at BBB. 🙂

Not bad at all! I totally did the same thing. I actually put a wine tower on our registry at C&B b/c I knew I would get 20% off after our wedding. To my surprise, my bridesmaids all chipped in and bought us the wine tower! You’d be surprised what people will buy you! You might find a Beatles lover who wants to buy that poster for you!

I would buy that for you too!!!!

I would way rather buy you something fun you will love other than towels or dishes!

I’d totally do that, I guess I’m bad too!  In fact, I definitely but a wine cooler on my registry knowing everyone would be like, “why the heck does she think we’re going to buy her that?”.  But they don’t realize its part of my master plan… 20% off maaan 🙂

haha we totally did that too.  And like Beagle, we added stuff after the wedding to get the registry completion discount!

I did it.  I waited until the day before the wedding and added A TON of stuff.

Also, you can add stuff AFTER the wedding, they don’t check or close it or anything.  Most places just give you a 20% off coupon for unpurchased registry items, there’s no stipulation on when the items were purchased.
