I think it really depends on the person. If this person is the type of person who is like

: Going with @so&so to see Hop! Going to have a great time.

: Just ate the best cheesecake ever!

ect then I dont think it is showing off because they just like to status update. But if it is like the only thing on their profile then yes.

I don’t think it’s bragging.  It’s just updating people on what you are doing.  Same thing with vacation updates or fitness stats.

all facebook posts are boasts.  I mean no one has the need to say the same thing to a few hunders of their closest friend…

honestly, I post to facebook about volunteering in the hopes that other people might be interesting and ask to come along.

    i don’t think it’s bragging unless it’s a constant thing.

I’d rather hear that than how AWESOME someone’s gym time was or how much they loooooooooooove their best boyfriend ever because he made breakfast. Maybe it will inspire others to get involved. And even if it comes off braggy, at least she’s backing it up by actually doing good work.

Not bragging, IMO. I would love to see more updates about people volunteering. I volunteer for a lot of things I believe in, though I don’t post it, and a few of them I found through a friend who did. YAY for your friend who is walking the walk and not just talking the talk.
