(Closed) Is it easier to size a ring up or down?

    @Pink Asawa: I’m definitely no expert, but I remember a friend that used to make metal jewellery telling me that it’s much easier to size up, as you’re basically just stretching the metal a bit. To size down you actually have to cut a portion out of the band, which is way harder.

    I would definitely get bigger and go smaller. I would think it’s easier to take away metal than to add it.

    Keep in mind many rings shouldn’t be sized more than once.

    I often go a half to full size larger because not every ring fits my finger the same way and I’d rather have some room and have it fit nicely than squeeze my finger which I hate (I wear a 5).
