So i’m starting to get frustrated..because our wedding is on a sunday we got Photo/video, our venue, and dj a little cheaper.
Well…hair and make-up is a TOTALLY different story. I wish i could pay for my girls hair and make up, but with 7 BM’s i just can’t afford it..i am willing to pay 25$ per girl though. Plus i am paying for their hems and pedicures.
Every salon in the area i’ve called not only ups their prices because its a wedding, but extra for sunday, and extra for coming in early and it seems like the cheapest available is starting at 100$ for BM’s hair which i think is unreasonable.
I’m wondering if it’s possible to find hair stylists and make up artists to come to us for cheaper, since they’ll be making all of the money..
I live in southern NJ and if anyone could help, me and my BM’s would really appreciate it. Thanks ladies!

That price really isn’t that unreasonable. The prices that I were quoted were a little less than that but not by much.
Do you have any beauty schools in your area? My friend went to beauty school and they take walk-ins. For like $30 I would go in and have my hair washed, cut, colored and styled. Its so cheap because they’re still learning but I never had an issue because their teachers were always right there to fix something if they made a mistake (which my friend never did). I know some of those girls would book weddings and proms on the side. Sure, your taking a gamble since they’re just starting out but if you have a few trails and are comfortable with the girl, you could score someone for a great rate.

For my hair and make up not including a trial i would be looking at at least 300$ in my area and the salons that start at 100 for bms said it would go up even more to come in early and 60 for make up..i just thought 200$ roughly, before tip was a lot for a Bridesmaid or Best Man for hair and make up. But i will look into some local beauty schools, thank you.

Oh no. I didn’t even think about what my Sunday wedding would do to my hair/makeup prices. I saw one salon where “up-do” and “bridal/bridal party up-do” was a $50 difference!! What in the heck is the difference!!! I debated just scheduling a “party up-do” and not telling them that its a wedding.
