Is it ever ok to tell someone to underline their lips for your wedding?

This can’t be real. If it is, gently suggest to your friend that she sees a therapist regarding body dysmorphia. It is absolutely not OK especially if she’s thinking of excluding her..

It’s incredibly sad to me how little self esteem so many amazing, smart and beautiful women have. No one can have it all. No one is the most beautiful. Everyone has traits they love and hate.

@anonyrantybee33:  No, in no circumstance would any of this ever be okay.

And this situation is way more than “a bit odd”–your “friend” clearly has serious mental health issues that need to be addressed by professionals. This is clearly impacting your friend’s life significantly based on the information you shared.

@missmollybee:  thank you for the explanation! Sounds marginally better than the literal underlining I was thinking of, as in the bottom of both lips 😳🤣

This… is insane…

My Maid/Matron of Honor has incredible legs, far better than mine – we picked her a short bridesmaid dress because we both wanted her to look fantastic and show off one of her best features. I certainly didn’t make her cover herself up to make my short, chubby legs look better in comparison. Friends are supposed to lift each other up, not hold each other down through their own insecurities.

Im going to echo PPs and say this “friend” needs professional help, this isn’t normal or healthy behaviour…

OP… this is completely unreasonable. If this is indeed your friend and not you, you need to step away from this situation and support your friend in realizing that it is her wedding day and all eyes will be on her.

If this is actually your hang up, I’m sorry that you feel this way toward your friend and ex – maybe they shouldn’t be included in your wedding day if you have hangups abut them.

Either way, therapy is essential.

@excitedmamatobee:  LOL!! I can’t imagine a lip with a literal underline underneath it! Like a upside down moustache 😂

@missmollybee:  RIGHT?! Lol!!! But I never count anything out in makeup, there are some bizarre trends out there!! 🤣🤣🤣

I tried to add a pic of halo brows but it wouldn’t work so see link for one of my personal favorites on the makeup crazytrain: https://www.allure.com/story/halo-brows
