a regular petticoat crinoline actually fels cool cause it makes the dress further away from your body and the material is airy. thats my experience. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Marquise123:  thats similar to my dress (mexico wedding and also around 80 degrees i think) so i hope not!! the wedding shop only showed me dresses she thought would be suitable for outside rather than bigger dresses more suited to air conditioned event rooms

I took my crinoline off after the ceremony. I felt 10 pounds lighter and 20 degrees cooler. Maybe it makes a difference if the crinoline is attached to the dress? Mine was a mermaid crinoline, so it was a lot of nylon bodice and then the netting on the bottom.

if you want, you can get a hoop to wear under your dress (they do have them for that shape) and it will keep everything away from your legs.

@Tangled:  Hi, Yeah if you have the non attached one with the stretch upper bodice thing that looks like a giant sock it sure gets hot ๐Ÿ™‚

If it is attached or a-line then it shouldn’t be to much of a hassle ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore one like the above too and I was super hot. I took it off after a while.

You’re dress is GORGEOUS!!! It’s one of my favorite dresses I’ve ever seen I think. I gotta stop staring at it or I’m going to get dress envy! LOVE!

I think since it’s attached and not an added layer you should be fine. By the way, if I didn’t already have a dress I would track yours down and definitely try it on. Seriously amazing dress!!

Maybe it was because my dress was heavy satin, maybe it is because there was so much crinoline, but it was HOT and sweaty.

Baby powder really does help though.  After the cermony, and a couple of times throughout the night I went back into the brides room to put baby powder between my legs (sorry if TMI!).  It helped SO much.
